If you uninstall that and install CIS after that does it still freeze ? I’m running both WinXP sp2 and sp3 on IT service packs without trouble, i would try to check if there is a conflict with ESET.

I might create a system restore point and then - after XP / SP2 and the 119+ updates have been installled (as is the case right now) - reinstall XP3 / Comodo - with the goal of revertng to the restore point if all doesn’t work. My experience: upgraded version of the Comodo Firewall is not compatable with Windows XPPro. I need to know if I uninstall the pgm causing a pblm, that WinXPPro will boot to desktop. What was a severe pblm: after disabling the Comodo service - and also even after uninstalling the Comodo Firewall program - XP / SP3 and even XP / SP2 - would not boot beyond the Windows logo.
